Such a fantastic event! Great venue, powerful sound, lots of green and great audience! One of the best rock festivals ever held in Yerevan!

Europe Day

Monday, June 14th, 2010

I’m not that keen on days such “Europe”, but since it was being marked on the same day as “European Day of Parks” my only wish for the day was for the Armenian parks to be as green, well-looked-after and “caféless” as their European peers.

Wanted to present him long ago… If you have been at our solo concerts you must have thundered for a second due to the unexpected appearance and powerful growl of Vardan Araqelyan from the ex-Aramazd band. We just experimented, but so perfectly the vocals harmonized with each other on the song “Colours” that now we don’t see it without Vardan’s participation. And as a matter of fact we play it during our own gigs only.

Why are you so sad, alone...

Why are you so sad, alone...

But so happened that Vardan appeared 5 minutes before our appearance on the stage at Shahumyan Square and wished to perform… and the wider audience of different musical tastes gathered there got acquainted, maybe astonished or petrified of the power of sound and voices openair. Such a bliss!

Impressions were dime a dozen and different, so I won’t dwell upon them. Just happy that we could make it happen despite all the difficulties.  Got pretty tired, but still made the last efforts to enjoy the great show! Such a long expected event!

DP’s monitor engineer Rob, great person with an access to the Space from his own observatory.  And the flowers are from another wonderful person, Gillan’s assistant Sally, whose talent I discovered here.
